BillMinder 1.6.1 was just approved by Apple (Thanks!). It should hit your phones soon and bring the fixes/features mentioned here. We’re already hard at work on version 2.0, which will bring an entirely rewritten interface that’s easier to use and easier on the eyes.

Apple just approved BillMinder 1.6. Go grab it from the store!
So we’re going to take advantage of iPhone 3.0’s new features and add the following:
- Improved mapping using Google Maps
- GPX Support so Windows users can tag with existing apps
- Built in email with attachment support instead of sending through our servers to your inbox
We’re just doing some final testing and putting the polish on BillMinder 1.3. We know it’s been a while in the making but sit tight — we want to release a quality product. Our goal is to deliver a build to Apple this weekend.
Apple has just approved PunchClock 1.0. We’re selling it at the low (limited time only!) price of $0.99 so go check it out if you want to save a little cash. Also, there’s one very minor bug (don’t try to delete the “Show another month” row!) but we’ve already pushed a fix to Apple. 1.0.1 should be out soon!
The following updates will be in this version:
- Adjustable buffer size (see Preferences on your iPhone)
- Experimental AAC+ support (works w/ 2.0.2 but not 2.1 – bug report filed w/ Apple for assistance – this feature is NOT supported)
- Minor fix around Icecast metadata
- Fixed crash on downloading invalid playlist files
Because of a funky version numbering issue, we’re skipping 1.1 and going for BillMinder 1.2. We’ve just submitted the build to Apple for review. It contains all of the features that were promised in BillMinder 1.1.
We’ve tentatively planned the following features for BillMinder 1.3:
- Password protection
- Account and confirmation number fields
We’ve just pushed a new, final build of CastCatcher 1.2 to Apple. It features all the great stuff it did before, minus a few minor bugs, plus some major feature enhancements. Pending Apple’s review, it should hit your iPhones in about a week.
We’ve just pushed BillMinder 1.01 to Apple. It will be on your phones soon and will fix the following:
- iPhone 2.1 Compatability Fix (some phones had major issues)
- Add Popups to warn users of possible mistakes
- Enhanced Performance
- Bug fixes
CastCatcher 1.2 is ready and and will feature the following:
- Added support for Icecast streams (still .pls files)
- Fixed crash caused by incompatible metadata (stream now plays, metadata ignored, no crash)
- Support direct playback of mp3 files
- Squeezebox server (SlimServer) playback support – add the mp3 url to CastCatcher
- Support for direct playback of Shoutcast stream URLs (e.g. http://stream.radiojavan.com:9000)
We may still add M3U support to version 1.3, if demand dictates it.
We’ve just been notified that BillMinder 1.0 is ready for sale. It should be available on the App Store within a few hours! Our home page will be updated to reflect this as soon as it is available for purchase.
So Drew and I have settled on launching with two apps, both of which we’re currently testing:
- BillMinder – A bill tracking app that keeps track of your paid and unpaid bills on your iPhone
- CastCatcher – An application that lets you stream internet radio to your iPhone
